The New Year in Fashion!

Ok, so yeah, it’s March. This post is a little past-due. I’ve been a little busy with things the last few months and haven’t had the motivation to keep up with the fashion world until now. What did I miss? Apparently, not much! I’ve found that within a week, I’ve pretty much caught up to the world of fashion that I left in November. Continue reading

Denim 101

Blue jeans. Jeans. Denim. They’re all the same thing. You’ve been wearing them since you wear 5. I still have memories of my mom taking me to Kohl’s to buy me a few new pairs every school year because I’d grown out of the ones from the year before and they looked like high-waters. It’s no wonder that businessmen and fashion aficionados both have a tendency to look down on these pants as being childish, casual, and usual. However, I will tell you right now that the right jeans can be THE most versatile piece of clothing in your entire wardrobe. Continue reading

Style on a Budget

If you’re like me, and most of the people in the world, you don’t really have a lot of disposable income. And if you’re wanting to buy designer fashion items or even just some of the better brands you see in magazines, you may be dissuaded by the higher prices you see. This will cover year-round ideas, for those who can still wear shorts right now or just want ideas for next year. Continue reading

The Boot Spectrum

The weather is getting colder.  The sky is getting cloudier.  The ground is getting wetter.  It’s that time of the year again–autumn.  I’ll tell you something…this is actually the season I like the least.  It gets dreary all the time, you can go weeks without seeing any sun, and the rain can bite you if you’re not well-prepared.  There’s one bright side though; boots become much more of a necessity than they are in the summer.  It’s a lot tougher to pull off boots with shorts than it is with pants, jeans feel right at home with a pair of Tims.  Not to mention they are the best way to help keep your feet and ankles warm during the frigid months. Menswear Magazine

If someone was to list off the magazines men could turn to for fashion advice, it would most likely go something like this:  GQ, Esquire, Details, maybe even Maxim or Men’s Health.  All of these are actually men’s lifestyle magazines where fashion is treated as a second (sometimes third) thought.  Continue reading
